36th madness

THE EVOLUTION:

first

"1030"
3 deadlift @ 315, 225, or 135
100 bi-lateral KB swings
(10 rounds)

then

wounded bear crawl
(for eternity)

Everyone broke 1000 within 55 minutes. Some were faster. Some should be.
A sheer test of will.
The body was searching for clever ways to thwart the completion of the task.
Madman of note among many: Eric, for starting with an injury and completing in spite of it, ignoring the imploring objections of his peers and guardians. Lets all hope he can walk again.

Time: 35:30
135lb Deadlife
12lb (dumb bells) Lateral swing

I think I'll revisit this with a little more weight in a couple weeks.

I used the 30lb kettle bells for the Wounded Bear Crawl. Talk about inching along.

It'll be good to see you back Justin.

Sorry I missed this. I have been killing myself in the gym all week and I think it just caught up with me. I had a lot of back and knee pain and just needed some rest. I also had to start teaching for the semester the next day at 8:00am and I was unprepared. And my dog ate my homework. And I was abducted by aliens. And the train broke down.

"1030"

Time: 50:10
215lb Deadlift
20lb (750reps) 10lbs (150reps)

Um yeah, as soon as Steve warned us with "Don't be surprised if for the next couple of days you feel sharp pain in your delts..." the pain started creeping in. Yikes! but I went into the gym on Friday and Saturday and went rafting on Sunday to keep those muscles stimulated and to not give them the chance to tighten up fully... I was still damn sore though.

Glad Justin is back this week so he could MAYBE tame the beast a bit but I'm sure he'll only just add to his madness!

Can't wait to see what those two have in store for us this Thursday...
