Note to self and Madness attendees:

NEVER and I mean NEVER do deadlifts with Bobby the night before MM. Or at least attempt to do as much weight as him...

Woke up on Thursday with a tweak in the lower back that was enough to bench me for last night's welcome back madness. I am very upset about that as I was looking forward to seeing the crew back together this new year. UGH!

I should certainly be back next Thursday.

I few more nights sleeping on the floor should do the trick.

Man, if this Madness had really been blank, I think I'd feel a lot better now. Anyway...

1st Tabata... -ish, thing: 25 lbs, it was hard to keep up the pace, especially in the later rounds, but it wasn't too bad.

Big Crazy Shit That Happened In The Middle: Everything was at goal, with the small box for the jumps and standard pushups instead of the clap push ups. I started really well, but really got killed on the bent over rows. After that, had trouble getting back into a solid groove because of fatigue. Stamina issues aside, it felt like a good weight.

2nd Tabataish Thing: This was a joke. I think maybe I did half the work? A quarter? Anyway, gave it my best shot.

Bonus round: I don't actually remember much of this, but I just did it, didn't even bother counting. Good to work with partners and I got my second wind which really helped.

So, to sum up, good to be back, but too much slacking off over the holidays means I've lost a lot of stamina. Now I know what to work on for the next couple of weeks before this all-nighter you guys keep talking about.
